  • Finding the Words

    I love how little ones
    so often
    find words for the things that I cannot seem to say.
    Perhaps they voice the fears I have hidden deep inside.
    Or they discover perhaps some deep truth that I have long known but forgotten.

    I often whisper to myself what the Most Difficult Child announced to me last year, during review:

    "God is LIGHT... and HE makes the DARKNESS go AWAY."

    Well, what do you know -- the Child was really listening. ha.
